Forest Road, E17 – Energy-Efficient New Build Flat & Full Renovation by Ibex®

On Forest Road, E17, within the London Borough of Waltham Forest in East London, Ibex Builders® delivered a specialist residential project involving the construction of a new energy-efficient flat above an existing building.

The new upper-level accommodation was designed with high-performance wood-fibre insulation, an MVHR fresh-air ventilation system, and exposed structural rafters, creating a modern interior focused on sustainability, comfort, and efficiency.

Alongside the new build, Ibex Builders carried out a full renovation of the original property below, including comprehensive upgrades to plumbing, electrical systems, and gas and electric meters to improve safety, performance, and long-term running costs.

Externally, the building was finished with durable zinc cladding, providing a contemporary, low-maintenance façade that enhances energy performance and reduces future upkeep.
